Entries due

Entries are due in for the ‘Open Comp’ to Mike, our Steward, today. So any topic is fine, as long as it’s family friendly.

All financial members are eligible to enter.

Each member can enter up to 4 images, in the format no larger than 1920 px in width and 1080px in height, in JPEG format, and the image should be no larger that 5mb. We’re making changes this year and 3 images maybe in colour but 1 image is to be monotone.

Images should be sent to our steward around a fortnight before this evening.

Please note: images should be sent as attachments, not embedded within the email.

If using a PC, this usually means clicking on the paperclip icon to locate and attach files.

If using a Mac, click the Attach button in the toolbar, locate a file (you may need to click the sidebar button to see additional folders), select it, then click Choose File. You can also drag files from the desktop, the Finder, or an app into your message.

If using an iPhone:

1. Launch Mail from your Home screen.
2. Tap Compose to start a new email.
3. Touch-and-hold to bring up the editing menu on iPhone.
4. Tap the arrow button to get more options.
5. Tap Add Attachment.
6. Tap on Locations at the top left.
7. Tap on the storage provider you want to use.

Sending as embedded files (even if accidental) creates a lot more work for the recipient and images usually aren’t the same quality when retrieved. If unsure, please Google for instructions for your particular program.
